As hopefully you know, one of NMC Virtual World’s main services is renting parcels of Second Life land on the NMC Campus to educational organizations (see an overview of our Educational Communities).
If you are interested in finding a spot, we have a great new tool on our web site– a tool to scout what is currently available.

Clik here to view.
If you visit our land availability page, you will see a sample of plots available (currently this is not everything, but soon we will have the full inventory listed) by location, size, prim allotments, and a SLURL so you can go scout the location.
All of the lots are “full perms†— you can terraform, play media, run events/classes, hold meetings, and build whatever you can dream up and rez (well we do have some “good taste†restrictions apply — no buildings taller than 25 meters above ground level are permitted and skyboxes must be placed above 300m, but otherwise, you have complete flexibility). And you can be assured that your neighbors will always be from educational institutions.
Each of our educational communities has a central area with common space that all the tenants can share — including an amphitheater, a conference room, a large classroom or other meeting space, a gallery suitable for exhibiting student work, and a well-stocked resource center filled with free tools, work-appropriate clothes, games, scripts, and even curriculum tips.
So check out what is available now and find that virtual plot of your dreams at http://virtualworlds.nmc.org/land
